Speaker 2:

Hello, dear listener. Today is the day where I get to introduce you to each of the seven tea Blends in the newest collection for Resourced Apothecary. Today's a big day for me because these are my babies and I am so happy to give a little bit of understanding about how each blend came to be, what it is going to offer to you and how you can work with each blend. Now, this is a podcast, and while I would absolutely love to be able to share smell and sight and texture through this microphone, I haven't figured that out yet. Instead, I wanna share some story with you and see if I can help to give life to the essence of each of these blends so that you'll be able to feel into what calls to you. There are seven blends in total. Starting out with kind of the most delightful, just regular, everyday sipping teas, if you will. We have Revel and Breeze. These are actually going to be my favorite ones to enjoy Iced, they're also delicious hot, but especially Revel. I love as just a lovely refreshing iced tea on a hot summer day. Next we have Nourish, Melt, and Restore. These are also delicious teas. I do prefer these hot for the most part, but still delicious, cold. They're taking us a little bit deeper into our experience, so into our physical experience as well as our emotional experience. These three are going to offer us support. They're going to offer us renewal and to help us really access a deeper capacity, both emotionally and physically, and we will get into that more. The last two tees are Flow and Purify, and these teas are designed to address specific physical complaints. Never separating the emotional component that comes along with the physical symptoms that we can experience. Understanding that it's all a conversation that our body is having with us. It's all an opportunity to recognize an imbalance and to meet our needs instead of trying to suppress or turn off the source of the symptom. These two tea blends are more directed towards that physical experience, but I do love the fact that they really can speak to the emotional experience completely. As always. Uh, the blends that are coming out of Resource Apothecary are coming from a place of intuitive connection to the plants and understanding that there is a whole being that we are working with. Multidimensional essences being carried by the plants to us that interact with our multidimensional essence. With tea, we have the distinct benefit of being able to decide, are we just picking a delicious refreshment and that's really all we need? Great. There's a tea for that. Would we like more help in sorting out what is going on with our emotions? What is going on in our physical body and connecting more deeply with both? Great. There is a tea for that. Is there something that we can do to offer ourselves a regular gift that can become as simple or complex ritual as you have the space and time for, but that we are able to truly reap the benefit from because it becomes a regular part of our life. Great. There is a tea for that.

Speaker 3:

We begin with Breeze Tea, the tagline being, refresh Your Spirit. Have you ever been so deep in whatever experience you're having, be it annoyance or frustration, or just chewing on a thought that has you completely wrapped up and then experienced. A cool breeze blowing across your face, ruffling your hair. The gentle movement being the only thing powerful enough to kind of pull you out of whatever you've kind of been stuck in and bring you back into the present. This tea is my effort to capture and share that gift where something as simple and easy as a cool breeze can have a very deep and powerful effect because it's gentle, because it's subtle. So breeze tea has lemon balm, orange peel, spearmint, basil, orange essential oil, lemon essential oil, and spearmint essential oil. The essential oils offer a natural flavoring that really boosts the refreshing quality of the tea. The herbs help to wash over the organs in your body that hold on to resentment and annoyance, anger, and fear, and just gently carry off all of those sticky emotions that we're holding onto, allowing your entire being to be refreshed with every sip. The synergy of this blend of herbs and oils really moves in to kind of disperse that heavy rain cloud hanging over your head and help you come back into the present. Take a big deep breath and begin again refreshed.

Speaker 4:

Next we have Revel tea. If you've been around for a while, you may know this. T by the name Midsummer Dreaming. This is a blend that I have been working with for quite a while now, and have had a really hard time putting into words because Revel captures a moment in time and transports you with every brew. Thinking of a warm summer night spent dancing under the stars, truly experiencing the pleasure of being alive, enjoying life. Revel includes lemon balm, marjoram, and hibiscus. These plants come together to offer a floral, warm, refreshing vibe. And when I say that, let me just say if there is one tea that I have to say is completely vibes, it is Revel Tea. It is all about experiencing pleasure as a practice and allowing for delight and enjoyment to be the entire point, period. Not needing a deeper message, not needing to be working on anything, or digging too deeply. Just experiencing delight.

Speaker 5:

Norish Tea has the tagline, root deep rise strong. This blend is offering deep grounding vitality. It's strengthening and replenishing so that you can root into your wholeness of being the herbs. Included in this blend are nettles, plantain, mugwort, yarrow, and hibiscus. On a physical level, nourish is offering essential minerals and blood building nutrients. Oftentimes we try to extract our physical need for nourishment from our emotional need for nourishment, and I offer this blend as a balm and a resource for both. This is the perfect choice to fill your cup when you are feeling both physically and emotionally depleted. When capacity is below zero. You can drink Nourish daily to really feed your roots, to feed your body's ability to root and ground down, to feed your emotional capacity so that you can move through the intricacies and the challenges of your daily life supported. On a physical level, we are actually giving the nutrients that our body needs in order to function. And yet this is such a wonderful, ritual for offering your body what it needs, offering your soul what it needs. Taking a moment to acknowledge that we are not robots, and even though we want so much to center the needs of those around us, we really can't do a good job of that until we have taken care of our own needs. Drinking Nourish daily can be a ritual in self-care, as well as the first step in being able to be the best caretaker for all of those around you that you can, understanding that you can fill up your cup and then supply everyone around you with the overflow.

Speaker 6:

Going a little deeper, we have melt tea. This is a blend created to offer deep relaxation. A way to unwind the mental chatter and remove the weight of the world from your shoulders. Really inviting a deep exhale on a cellular level. The herbs in melt are lemon balm, skullcap, damiana, and butterfly pea flower. The color is a deep blue and the experience of Melt is truly an experience of being washed in calm. This is a tea that I recommend drinking in the evening or at the end of a very stressful day, allowing yourself the space and time to shift gears completely. The way that these herbs come together is really interesting because the relaxation is different than you would get from a cup of chamomile tea or using lavender. My experience of the relaxation that melt offers is deep, and it is such a more mental experience where, yes my body is tired, but my body could go on. What is really tired is my mind and the burden of carrying the tension of the day and the worries and the concerns and the thoughts, and the plans, and the promises, the expectations, all of that has just weighed me down to the point that I am spent. And Melt can come in, unwind. All of that help me to set all of that aside and breathe deeply to just be. With the understanding that that is not necessary to do. It is not necessary to stay swept up in the emotional and mental tension of the day. Reminding me that coming back to center, releasing everything, and knowing that I will still be able to pick up what is important and nothing can be harmed by me taking a few moments for myself to collect all of the parts of me that I have let scatter through the day to come back into my being and just be with me for a precious moment. I took melt with me on a vacation and was so excited to share this tea with some friends and brewed it up and these herbs were able to remind me pretty quickly that while the gift that they give is so very complete, it is a potent gift. It is not one that I recommend drinking throughout the day and trying to move on unless you are ready to just coast and slide through the day. I really like it for when it's time to quit, when it's time to turn off and unplug and unwind. That that is the place where this tea really shines and is able to offer its full gift and, and when you're in that moment and that environment, you can really receive the full benefit.

Speaker 7:

Next we have restore tea, the tagline being Fortify your boundaries inside and out. Restore offers protective, nourishing support for body and soul. The herbs in this blend are plantain leaf, marshmallow root, slippery elm bark, and hibiscus. They come together to remind our cells, how to take in beneficial nutrients and how to let go of toxins. We can receive that physical gift and allow it to express in our energetic world when every cell has what it needs to receive the beneficial and to release the toxic, our whole being can become more adept at doing the same. When we have what we need to hold boundaries, everything changes. When we're able to discern what is beneficial and what is not, and act appropriately, our whole world can change. On a physical level, restore tea really helps people whose tissues are just unable to hold boundary. They absorb toxins and can't really let them go. They find it difficult to absorb the moisture and the nutrients that are coming in can't really do anything with them. And when we look at that physical component, we see the emotional component that goes along with it where we don't do a great job of discerning when we're in environments that are not good for us. When we're taking in energy, messaging, information that is not good for us. We have a hard time of letting go of what we know is not good for us. It can also be very difficult to know how to seek out what is good for us and recognize that we can bring in more of what is good for us when we know what it is. I love that this tea offers such physical support and I always want to be sure that we are acknowledging the emotional support and the fact that they really aren't different at all. This is a blend that I work with when people have physical tissue states where they lack tone, and because of that, the tissues will absorb things that they don't need to absorb. You can see that when we have congested skin, that we have a hard time clearing. When we have chronic issues with our sinuses, when we have issues with constipation. What I also like to bring us back to is recognizing that emotional state as well. When we don't have the tone in our emotional state, that looks like a lack of discipline. That looks like allowing things that we know aren't good for us because we don't feel able to stand up and reject those things. Sometimes that's because we don't have the support that we need. Sometimes it is difficult to express the discipline we need to protect ourselves. And I really like to offer Restore and the herbs inside as a gift to our body, to our energy field. As a way to absorb the essence of these plants and. Come back into alignment, finding that tone, finding that discipline. On the other end of the spectrum, we also can have tissue states that are just so dry and brittle that they can't move. Sometimes it's more a question of nutrients and minerals that allow our tissues to accept moisture in a beneficial way, not just continually drinking water. Sometimes the tissues are unable to receive the hydration that we are offering because they don't have the nutrients and minerals needed to do anything with that hydration. So Restore comes in and offers that package so that the tissues can actually be moisturized, allowing them to move. I use this blend a lot with people who have problems of tone. With their tissues. And what's really interesting is we look at both ends of the spectrum. One where they are so lax that they can't hold firm boundary and the other where they are so firm that they can't allow any movement. The beauty of this particular blend is we can address both issues at the same time. And we can come back into that balance of being firm enough to hold boundaries, yet moisturized and soothed enough to flow with life. So while we are addressing physical complaints like leaky sinuses or very dry nasal passages, slow digestion, constipation, and diarrhea, we're really addressing an issue of boundaries. And how beautiful that this tea can affect us on a physical level as well as. An emotional level, we can be fortified enough to be strong and we can be nourished enough to be soothed and gentle and go with the flow. We can find that balance that offers us a way to move through life with so much more ease.

Speaker 9:

Next we come to flow tea, the tagline being, support your natural cycles with grace. Flow tea encourages gentle movement and ease supporting the harmony within Flow Tea is specific to the cyclical nature of the feminine being. The herbs inflow are nettles, mugwort, passion flower, hibiscus, St. John's wart, chaste berry yarrow, and butterfly pea flower. This blend is my homage to the intricacy of the female cycle. The fact that we are not static beings. Our needs change as we move through our cycle. The physical and emotional landscape of our being shifts and changes, and how lovely that process can be when we have what we need in every part of that cycle. When we allow ourselves to move and change and be different because we understand that every cycle is a movement around the spiral of life. We are growing and changing, and when we can move with our cycle, we can move with grace. In a world that tends to be more comfortable for the masculine cycle, which is 24 hours and less comfortable for the feminine cycle, which is 28 to 31 days, it can be hard to remember the beauty of the cyclical nature. To honor the fact that nature moves in seasons and cycles and that we are nature. In a world where consistency is king and sameness is valued, sometimes we forget that that's just not our story. So Flow Tea comes in and offers the extra physical support that your body needs as you move through your cycle. The herbs included all have this wonderful gift of being so multidimensional. Yes, they have physical gifts and they simultaneously have gifts for the emotional body, for the mental body, for your being as a whole. My intention with flow is that while physical complaints and symptoms are eased, the rest of the being is held and nurtured. May this blend remind you on the very deepest level that you are wonderful because you change and evolve. You are wonderful because you do not stay the same. And when you are supported in changing and evolving, moving through these cycles with grace, there is so much beauty and wonder that you can bring to the world around you. And I want desperately to see every woman around me embodying that knowing and showing up fully, honoring the fact that they're showing up different than they did yesterday and then they will tomorrow and that that is perfect. And what a gift and a blessing for everyone to receive. Just how they are. Just how you are. So while the herbs in this blend offer support so that you can move through your cycle with ease, they're also here to remind you that you moving through your life and your seasons authentically is the best gift that you can give. And it doesn't need to be something that you make easier for anyone else. You show up. You are authentically you. When our bodies have what they need to move through cycles nourished and supported, they can be beautiful easeful processes. We don't have to continue the narrative of the monster that comes out once every four weeks. We do get to create a new narrative of a force of nature that is moving through life ever changing and inviting everyone around to come with you and continue upward on the spiral, supported and ready to make change. Moving through your seasons in an authentic and true way.

Speaker 10:

And finally we have purify tea. This particular blend came as an answer to a physical question. And yet again, we have a very strong energetic gift that comes right along with it. The tagline for purify tea is clear what no longer belongs. This is a cleansing blend for renewal and release. The herbs included in this blend are clove, mugwort, orange peel, and marjoram. This is the only tea that you will not find in loose tea format. Currently Purify comes in single serving tea bags, a set of 15 tea bags in each package. The intention behind purify tea is to cleanse the body of parasitic energy. Physically, this can look like actual parasites in the digestive tract, in the body as a whole being purged. And emotionally, I think it's an incredibly powerful blend. There are so many reasons that we end up allowing parasitic energy into our lives. A lack of awareness of what it actually is, denial, or if we look deeper, some purpose being served. The trouble comes when the balance is lost. There is more give than receive, to a detriment. And then we recognize that a change must be made. And oftentimes it can be hard on a physical and an emotional level because the imbalance runs so deep that it's hard to separate out. Purify Tea comes in and roots out that parasitic imbalance. This strong grouping of herbs comes in to separate and cleanse. Because when it is time to let go, sometimes we need a strong hand and decisive action. So whether you are working with your healthcare provider to rid your physical body of parasites, or whether you are looking at your emotional body and recognizing that it's time to separate and cleanse. Purify tea can be a really powerful aid in your process.
